This is a lovely painting! It’s quite obvious that you’re a very gifted person. My, how I wish I had your talent! Considering you said you wish to have constructive feedback, I’ll try to give you some.
Although your painting is wonderful, it’s missing an eye catcher. Something that draws someone’s attention to your canvas. When I think of impressionism, I think about paintings that make my mind wander, paintings that have something that real life doesn’t (usually have). A bright colour that draws my attention, a light source that causes the rest of the objects in the piece to have dramatic lights and shadows, or a point-of-view that’s unusual. Your painting is a gorgeous landscape, but what else can it be? Is there a sun to give you a warm feeling? A moon hidden somewhere, that gives a wonderful glow and that hints that night time is coming near? Is there a lantern that playfully reflects a soft light on some strands of grass? Or perhaps a handkerchief that someone accidentally dropped?
I’m not a professional artist or someone who has great knowledge of art. I’m merely someone reminiscing the paintings I have once seen in museums I have visited. Maybe my perception is influenced by my passion for colour, so perhaps I’m completely off. I hope my feedback is of use to you. Love your painting and style.
