The High School Musical star is serious about her love of Halloween. In fact, since October 1, she’s posted only black-and-white photos to instill an eerie mood on her Instagram page. Her historic Georgian Colonial–style home is the perfect backdrop for festivities and the “Welcome Witches” banners she hung outside of her doorway set the tone right as guests enter.
Perhaps the most genuinely startling decoration of all is a mask of one’s own face, and the Armchair Expert podcast host knows it. For his holiday display, the actor opted for simplicity with three large pumpkins and the ultra-realistic mask held up on a stake in the background.
Minimal was the order of the day at the home the We’re Going to Need More Wine author shares with her husband, Dwayne Wade, and their family. A gigantic pumpkin perched on the doorstep appears to be their only decoration, but it’s still plenty dramatic. In the photo Union posted to Instagram, she poses next to the pumpkin that is nearly as large as her daughter, Kaavia James Union Wade, who turns three next month.
The former Mad Men star chose to show off a wide array of skeletons around her property. Dog skeletons and skulls of various sizes adorn the porch, skeletons in ragged clothes hang on trees, and on her grass, a shrugging skeleton adds plenty of creepiness to the actor’s outdoor space.
A truly chic approach to Halloween decorating is shown by the designer extraordinaire, who used black, white, and green pumpkins in an entryway and a misshapen disco ball from her collection with Rotganzen to give an otherworldly feeling to the space.
